Mark was tasked by GEMS Education to write and direct the opening ceremony for the Global Education and Skills Forum in Dubai, in 2014. The challenge for the ceremony and for the event as a whole was to inspire an audience of global government heads and business leaders to engage and play their part in the fight for an improvement in education around the world and a more equitable global society.

He developed the creative content for the ceremony and worked closely with the artists and the 400 school children involved, to produce an entertaining and thought-provoking show, engaging both audience and participants alike.

The show went on to win a prestigious Eventia Gold Award for Best Celebratory Event.
